A$AP Rocky eyes Grammy for Don't Be Dumb as Disc 2 begins

A$AP Rocky wants a Grammy Award for Don't Be Dumb — and he says so plainly.
In an exclusive interview published by Billboard on 15 October, the rapper said he intentionally wanted to win for the album to solidify what he worked hard for. He has three nominations. No wins yet.
The interview also covers his Don't Be Dumb tour and signing Playboi Carti to his AWGE label, alongside plans for new music.
Don't Be Dumb arrived in January after a long gap. Nearly eight years passed between the album and his 2018 record TESTING. The new release topped the Billboard 200, the United States albums chart that ranks weekly consumption across sales and streaming. It was his first No. 1 album in more than a decade.
Rocky told Billboard he plans to release the long-awaited Disc 2, a deluxe edition with extra tracks added to the original album. The rollout starts on Friday, Oct. 16 with the arrival of “Mushroom Clouds” on streaming services.
Fans have heard the song before in live settings. Rocky first performed “Mushroom Clouds” at a 420 Weedmaps show in 2021, then played it again as part of his Amazon Music Live set in 2022. Its official streaming release opens the next phase of the album campaign.
He spoke to Billboard just after finishing shows in Europe. He said he had wrapped his European tour in Greece two nights before the interview.
The live run has continued into the Don't Be Dumb World Tour 2026. Its first-show setlist included “Grim Freestyle,” “Trunks” and “HIGHJACK.”
For fans, this means two races at once. One is awards season, with Grammy nominations decided by voting members of the Recording Academy. The other is the charts, where a deluxe edition can bring an older album back into the weekly count.
