A$AP Rocky launches Don't Be Dumb Disc 2 with Shroom Clouds video

A$AP Rocky has kicked off the rollout for Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2 with a long-teased single. He released “Shroom Clouds” on Friday, Oct. 16 as the lead single for the deluxe edition, an expanded version with extra tracks, of his January album Don’t Be Dumb.
Three days later he shared the official music video. Rocky co-directed the clip with Aisultan Seitov and Pietro Biz Biasia, Billboard reported.
The video centres on a street scene with a possible clue in it. A police car sits crashed into a wall beside a mural of A$AP Yams, with an Oct. 30 decal visible on its side panel. Billboard noted the decal could hint at the Disc 2 release date, though no date has been confirmed.
“Shroom Clouds” will sound familiar to concertgoers. The song was originally titled “Mushroom Clouds” and was first performed in 2021 at a 420 Weedmaps event and Governors Ball. Rocky later played it during his 2022 Amazon Music Live set.
He had flagged the studio release in advance. In an interview ahead of release, Rocky told Rolling Stone that “Shroom Clouds” would arrive on Friday. Complex reported on Oct. 16 that Disc 2, an expansion of the chart-topping album, was expected soon.
The new rollout follows a strong return for Rocky on the charts. Don’t Be Dumb was released in January and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the United States albums chart, with 123,000 total album-equivalent units, the measure that converts streams and sales into album sales. It was his first album in nearly eight years and his first No. 1 in more than a decade.
For fans who have traded live clips since 2021, this is the first official release. It also gives the next phase of the album campaign a clear starting point.
