Kings of Leon to headline Sydney Summertime with Ocean Alley

Kings of Leon will headline Sydney Summertime on Feb. 28, 2027, with Ocean Alley as special guests. The show will be held at Sydney's Centennial Park. The date was confirmed by organisers via Billboard.
The band is the second headline act announced for the series. Sydney Summertime is a new open-air concert run, now in its inaugural, or first, edition. It is run by promoters Secret Sounds and Live Nation.
The Strokes will open the series on Feb. 20. That bill also features Beck, Courtney Barnett and Promiseland. Together, the two announcements give the first shape to the summer programme.
The Sydney date follows new music from Kings of Leon. Their 10th studio album, O My Beloved, arrives on Nov. 6. A studio album is a full-length collection of new recordings.
It will be released via Love Tap Records and Virgin Music Group. The band has said it is the first Kings of Leon album produced entirely by the band itself. That means the members handled production duties, the work of shaping the sound in the studio, without an outside producer. Lead single 'My Whole World' is out now.
Tickets for the Sydney show will be sold through Moshtix, the ticketing partner for the series. Presale opens on Oct. 22 at noon local time. General sale starts on Oct. 27 at 1 p.m.
There is an early route in for buyers. Fans who pre-order O My Beloved by 4 p.m. AEDT on Oct. 21 will get access to the presale. AEDT is Australian Eastern Daylight Time, the local time used in Sydney in summer.
Two practical details apply to the night. Every ticket includes a return public transport pass. Children aged 12 and under get in free.
For fans, this means a late-summer night with a United States headliner and Australian support on the same bill. Band members Matthew Followill and Nathan Followill previously spoke about adding an Australian leg to their touring plans during a 2024 appearance on ABC's Double J Arvos with host Tim Shiel.
That interview is background. The confirmed news is the date in the diary. Sydney, Feb. 28. Kings of Leon on top, Ocean Alley alongside.
