Shakira closed her Madrid residency on 12 October after 13 sold-out shows for more than 700,000 fans.

The run, part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, took place at Shakira Stadium, a temporary venue used from 18 September to 12 October. All 13 dates sold out, according to Pollstar.

The early Madrid box office put Shakira at No. 1 on Pollstar's LIVE75 for September. The LIVE75 is a weekly ranking of touring artists by tickets sold.

Pollstar reported that the first nine Madrid shows sold a combined 452,097 tickets. That is an average of 50,233 per show.

Those nine nights grossed $61.3 million in ticket revenue, before costs are taken out. The average was $6.8 million per night.

The wider tour has now passed 4 million tickets sold since it launched in February 2025, according to Pollstar Boxoffice. Reported box-office revenue stands at $534.4 million, as reported by Music Business Worldwide.

The tour is produced by Live Nation, the concert promoter. The tour announcement describes it as the highest-grossing Latin tour of all time.

It launched on 11 February 2025 in Rio de Janeiro. It is named after her 2024 album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, released through Sony Music Latin.

Madrid was not the tour's largest stand. Shakira played 13 times at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, selling 724,306 tickets for $84.1 million.

Shakira Stadium was designed by architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group and seats more than 50,000. It sat at the centre of a 185,000-square-metre site called Macondo Park, within the Iberdrola Music complex in southern Madrid.

Shakira's team said the residency generated an economic impact exceeding $200 million for Madrid. That figure covers wider spending around the shows, not ticket sales alone.

The run included an Es Latina programme of more than 400 hours of cultural programming with more than 1,500 artists and performers. Guests across the residency included Dua Lipa, Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, Maluma, Beéle, Manuel Turizo, Dani Martín and Bizarrap.

The dates were Shakira's first shows in Spain since her El Dorado World Tour in 2018. In 2021 she sold her 145-song publishing catalogue, the rights to the words and melodies she wrote, to Hipgnosis Songs Fund.

What makes this stand out is the scale fixed in one place. A residency, a run of shows in a single location rather than moving city to city, usually means a smaller room. Here it meant a purpose-built stadium filled 13 times over.
