Slow Horses has added Varada Sethu and Tuppence Middleton to its seventh season cast.

The Apple TV spy drama follows a group of MI5 intelligence agents sidelined to Slough House, led by Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, according to Variety. The new casting was reported on 19 October 2026.

Sethu is known for Andor and Jurassic World: Dominion, and recently played Ann Baxter in The Other Bennet Sister. She has also appeared in Doctor Who, according to Radio Times. Middleton played Sara Mankiewicz in Mank and has credits including The Forsytes and Downton Abbey: A New Era.

They are not the only new faces. Ethan Moorhouse, Merab Ninidze and Joshua McGuire have also joined the ensemble for Season 7. James Callis returns as Claude Whelan.

Regulars back for the new run include Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish and Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander.

Season 7 adapts Bad Actors, the eighth book in Mick Herron’s Slough House series. The story centres on the hunt for a mole at the heart of British government before they can bring down the state. Ben Vanstone is adapting the book for television, with Robert McKillop directing.

The series is produced by See-Saw Films, which is part of Mediawan, and has won three Emmy awards. Season 6 premiered on 16 September 2026, according to Apple.

For fans, this means a fresh mix around the Slough House team. Details of the new characters have not been disclosed. The production keeps its fast rhythm, with new books moving to screen while earlier seasons are still fresh in viewers’ minds.
