Harry and Meghan Make First Joint UK Outing in Six Years in Nottingham

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex stepped out together in Nottingham on Thursday, 15 October, for their first joint outing in Britain in six years.
They greeted well-wishers in the city and visited local community projects. Meghan told the crowd: "It's great to be back," People. The couple had made a surprise return to Britain ahead of the appearance, Reuters reported.
Their Office published its own account titled 'A Day in Nottingham: It's Great to Be Back' on Sussex.com. It said Harry and Meghan spent the day "reconnecting with the community they have long supported."
The day included a walkabout at the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham. The couple also visited the Himmah Hub in the city, BBC News reported.
What makes this stand out for longtime watchers is the familiar face walking close by. Beth Herlihy accompanied Harry and Meghan in Nottingham, alongside her PR firm co-founder Clara Loughran, Hello! Magazine reported.
Herlihy is a former Kensington Palace aide. She once led the events team at the Royal Foundation, the joint charitable arm then shared by Harry and Meghan and Prince William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales. When the couples divided their charitable work in 2018, Herlihy stayed with the Sussexes. She is now their programme coordinator.
In Nottingham she helped carry flowers and balloons given by well-wishers. She helped organise schoolchildren to stand in line.
Herlihy has a Master's degree in acting from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She previously appeared in Channel 4's Hollyoaks. In 2020 she founded PR firm Herlihy Loughran with Loughran, who previously worked for Prince Harry as his programme manager and helped coordinate the Sussexes' 2018 royal wedding.
Herlihy was made a member of the Royal Victorian Order, the honour given for personal service to the monarch, by the late Queen on Prince Harry's recommendation. She travelled with Harry and Meghan to Germany for the Invictus Games, the sports event for wounded service personnel founded by Prince Harry, in 2023. She also attended the one-year countdown event for the 2025 Games in Whistler, Canada.
