Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will visit three charitable organisations in Nottingham this week.

HELLO! reported it will be their first public visit together in Britain in six years. Six years. Same city where it all started.

Nottingham was where the couple made their first public appearance after their engagement in 2017. They bowed out of royal engagements in March 2020. They are now returning to those same streets together.

The Nottingham date caps a busy return. In August 2026, media reports said the couple planned to move back to Britain six years after stepping down from royal duties, according to Reuters. Prince Harry attended the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards in London for his first public appearance since returning to Britain. He then stepped out without Meghan Markle for his first official outing since the return, and told the BBC it is "great" to be back in Britain after six years in the United States.

People reported on 11 October that the pair were set for their first joint official outing since returning to the UK. There have been quieter sightings too. Harry and Meghan were photographed walking hand-in-hand outside a Cotswolds pub earlier this month.

Meghan Markle has also been out on her own. She had lunch at The River Cafe in Fulham and tea at Claridge's with Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and education campaigner.

A friend told HELLO!, as reported by the outlet, that Meghan is ready for the Nottingham visit. "She's up for it," the friend said. Sources close to the couple told HELLO! the joint outing is likely to be one of only a handful they will carry out in the coming year.

The same friend set out her priorities in order, according to HELLO!: her children first, then her As Ever lifestyle brand, then her acting career, then charitable causes. Archie and Lili are both in school full time, the friend said. Meghan Markle played paralegal Rachel Zane in Suits, the American legal drama, and was written out following her 2017 engagement to Prince Harry.

What makes this stand out is the symmetry. Nottingham opened their public story together. Now it hosts their first joint visit back.
