Underscores brought out Jane Remover as a surprise guest at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and the two performed a new, untitled song together for the first time. The moment came during Underscores' set as the support act for Charli XCX, according to Pitchfork.

A support act is the performer who plays before the main headliner. In this case, that meant Underscores, the project of April Harper Grey, played ahead of Charli XCX's own set. The guest appearance added an unannounced extra to that opening performance.

Grey introduced Jane Remover on stage at the arena show. The pair then played a song that has not yet been given a public title. It was the first live performance of the track.

No title yet. No release date or wider rollout has been announced for the material. For now, the performance stands on its own as a live debut, the term used when musicians play unreleased music in concert for the first time.

The joint performance follows earlier talk of a collaboration. In a June interview with Pitchfork writer Mano Sundaresan, Jane Remover discussed the possibility of working with Underscores, as noted by Pitchfork. That conversation took place about four months before the Kia Forum show reported on 19 October.

For fans, this means talk turned into action. What had been raised as an idea in an interview in June was performed on stage in Inglewood in October. It also gives both audiences something concrete to follow, even while the song remains unnamed and without a confirmed release.

The Kia Forum is an indoor arena in Inglewood, a city in Los Angeles County. A support slot at a venue of that size puts a performer in front of a headliner's full crowd. A surprise guest can change the shape of that set, adding another voice without advance billing.

Neither artist has announced next steps for the song. There is no confirmed title, lyric sheet or studio version so far. If a release follows, it would normally be confirmed by the artists or their labels, with details on timing and format. Until then, the Kia Forum performance remains the record of the collaboration.
