Nathan Fielder lived with Elizabeth Holmes in the weeks before she went to prison to make You Can See Everything with Lance Oppenheim. The film is a hybrid documentary, mixing real-life footage with staged scenes, and A24 scheduled it for theatrical release on 16 October 2026, according to its trailer A24 trailer.

Filming began when Holmes was weeks away from imprisonment, as described by The Hollywood Reporter. Fielder lived in the house during production, Variety reported. Most of the action stays inside a cramped beach house in San Diego. Holmes gave total access to the filmmaking team, Deadline reported. Her partner, Billy Evans, is a central figure alongside her.

The Hollywood Reporter frames the film as an entry in gothic romance, a type of love story built around mystery and dread in a closed-off house. It compares the film’s shared sense of unreality to Rebecca, Persona, Gaslight, Possession, Mulholland Drive and Phantom Thread. The score takes its cue from Vertigo.

That old-house focus gets a strange twist. Amanda Seyfried appears as Holmes’s double in re-enactments. Seyfried had already won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for playing Holmes in Hulu’s 2022 series The Dropout. One set piece has Evans turning his wife into a hologram.

Fielder has described Holmes as a liar in connection with the film, Variety reported. The production kept cameras close. Very close.

By 19 October 2026, the film had fallen just short of a Rotten Tomatoes documentary record after two negative reviews, Forbes reported.

What makes this stand out is the set-up. A start-up founder facing prison, a partner, a comedian-director as housemate, and an actor famous for playing the same woman, all crowded into one small house with cameras running.
