Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Announce New Album Burned and 2027 Tours

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have announced Burned, their first album in five years, due for release on January 29. The band's label is CYHSY, which is run by frontman Alec Ounsworth, according to Pitchfork.
The album has 10 tracks, produced by Nick Krill, who has worked with the band many times before. Ounsworth wrote the songs after a breakup and after the recent deaths of people close to him. "Fever of the Mind" is the first single from the record.
The band has also announced two tours to follow the album. The European dates run to 11 shows, starting on February 6 in Istanbul and ending on February 20 in London. Other stops include Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam and Dublin. The band's official Facebook page lists a show in Zurich, Switzerland, on February 9, and says tickets for the European return were on sale. The Istanbul show is at the Zorlu Center for Performing Arts, according to the band's website.
The North American leg runs from April 5 in Washington, DC, to May 15 in Philadelphia. It includes Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.
A quick note on the band's history: their self-titled debut came out in 2005. In 2025, they toured to mark its 20th anniversary, and a strictly limited deluxe edition of that album was released on May 30 of that year, according to a post on the band's Instagram.
For anyone planning a year around the band, the timing is clear. The album arrives in late January, and the European shows begin about a week later. The North American dates follow in the spring. Fans can check each city's ticket listings for prices and venues, since those details vary by show.
Albums and tours are often announced months apart, and this pairing puts the record and the road close together. The band's own dates give the next step: January 29 for the album, and February 6 for the first show.
