Ron Funches' New Stand-Up Hour 'Eat Cookies & Die' Lands on Gorilla Comedy+ First

Ron Funches has a new stand-up hour, and viewers will see it in two stages. Eat Cookies & Die debuts on Gorilla Comedy+ on Nov. 2, then launches on YouTube on Dec. 1, according to Variety.
Stand-up is a comedian performing alone on stage, usually filmed for release. An hour is a full-length set. Gorilla Comedy+ is an independent streaming service focused on comedy, which means subscribers pay to watch it on demand.
The special's description says it looks at the struggles of trying to be a better dad, staying in shape, divorce and love. Funches made it with the team at 800 Pound Gorilla. He called it the most intimate, honest and hilarious hour he has created.
It is his second hour-long special. His first was Giggle Fit, a 2019 hour on Comedy Central. Before that, he released a half-hour special in 2014.
Funches is also known to TV audiences from The Traitors, the reality game show where players try to uncover secret traitors among them. He was a contestant in Season 4. He clashed with Dorinda Medley on the show and was banished in Episode 6.
His next screen work is already lined up. He is set to appear in The Kellys, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, Geena Davis and Liam Hemsworth. He will also voice a role in Hexed, Disney's animated fantasy film.
For viewers, the order matters. The Gorilla Comedy+ debut comes first, and the YouTube release follows about a month later.
