Bianna Golodryga Is Leaving CNN After Nine Years

Bianna Golodryga is leaving CNN after nine years at the network. She announced the move on Thursday, 22 October 2026, and her last day on the job is Friday, 23 October.
A CNN spokesperson confirmed her departure, as People reported. Golodryga said she was leaving for an opportunity she could not pass up.
She joined CNN in 2017. She worked as an anchor for the network's international service, and she filled in for two of its best-known presenters, Christiane Amanpour and Fareed Zakaria. Deadline described her most recent role as anchor and senior global affairs analyst at CNN.
Her next move is not yet settled. Variety reported that she is in negotiations with Politico to cover global affairs, and with CBS News to serve as a contributor. A contributor is an outside on-air figure who appears on a network's programmes without being a full-time staff member. Variety noted that the talks remain fluid and may not come to fruition.
Golodryga has worked at CBS before. She was a co-host of CBS This Morning from October 2018, alongside Gayle King, John Dickerson and Norah O'Donnell. She left that show in April 2019.
Her career has also included stints at ABC and Yahoo News. Before Yahoo, she was a weekend anchor on ABC's Good Morning America. In 2014, Yahoo News hired her as its news and finance anchor.
For CNN viewers, the change is simple to track. Her regular appearances on the network end with Friday's broadcasts. Whether her next role begins at Politico, CBS News, or somewhere else will depend on how those talks develop.
