Derren Brown's Only Human Opens a Run at the Apollo Theatre in the West End

Derren Brown's live show Only Human is playing in the West End at the Apollo Theatre, with a run booked until 30 January 2027. WhatsOnStage reported on the production on 22 October 2026.
The show is Brown's first live stage show in more than three years. It comes to London after a tour of the UK and Ireland, which Brown's own website describes as sold out.
Brown describes himself as a "psychological illusionist", a label he says he made up. The Apollo's listing says the show explores perceptions and beliefs, and the fragile line between what is real and what is illusion. It also looks at free will and the choices people make.
Andrew Brown co-wrote and directed the production. Simon Higlett designed the set, Simon Wainwright created the video design, and Beth Duke made the sound design.
Brown's return to the stage has already drawn attention in the trade press. WhatsOnStage included Only Human in its list of top theatre to see in October 2026, published on 1 October.
For anyone planning a visit, the key dates are simple. The show is at the Apollo, and the booking period runs to the end of January. Seats for a show with a long run often go on sale in stages, so it is worth checking the Apollo's own ticket page for current prices and availability.
