Zee Studios has set 5 February 2027 as the release date for Silaa, an action-romance drama directed by Omung Kumar, Deadline reported on 23 October 2026.

The film centres on Virat and Silaa, whose intense relationship takes a tragic and violent turn. Harshvardhan Rane plays Virat, and Sadia Khateeb plays Silaa. The story is set against the landscapes of Kashmir and Vietnam.

Zee Studios made the film with Blue Lotus Pictures and Stark Entertainment. Omung Kumar produces alongside Himanshu Tiwari, Ajay Singh, Dhananjay Singh and Vanita Garud Kumar, with Hemant Tiwari as co-producer. Kumar is a National Award-winning filmmaker, a prize given by the Indian government for achievement in film.

Filming has finished. In February, Times of India reported that Rane had wrapped his part of the schedule. In April, Bollywood Hungama reported that the whole shoot had wrapped and the cameras had stopped rolling.

A release date is the day a film is scheduled to open in cinemas. Studios pick it early so that cinemas, distributors and audiences can plan around it. Locking in a date months ahead gives the marketing team a fixed target to build toward.

Zee Studios has not, in the reporting so far, said how the film will be marketed or where it will open beyond the date itself. The February 2027 slot is now on the calendar for Silaa, and the film's path from here runs through the post-production work that turns shot footage into a finished cut.

For fans following the project, the news gives them a date to circle. For everyone else, it is a reminder of how a film gets from a set in Kashmir to a cinema screen: months of shooting, a studio's decision on timing, and then a date printed on the calendar.
