Alice Eve Signs With Verve and Joins Grief Drama The Long Run

Alice Eve has signed with Verve, a talent agency, and has boarded The Long Run, an independent film about grief. Deadline reported the news on 23 October 2026.

Eve will play Claire Stanton, a woman devastated by the death of her husband, a Marine. The film follows Claire as she starts to find her way back to life through the unruly rescue dog her husband left behind. She is also pulled toward a marathon she had promised to run with him.

Harold Cronk is directing. Liz Larsen and Brando Colonna wrote the screenplay, and Leeni Marshall is producing for Rare Films. The project is slated for production this fall, meaning filming is planned for the coming months.

Eve's new agency deal follows an earlier change. In August, she signed with Artist International Group for management, a role in which a manager guides a performer's career beyond individual jobs. Deadline reported that move on 5 August 2026. She continues to be represented by Artist International Group, ARG in the UK, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman, according to the October report.

Eve's earlier screen credits include J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, in which she starred. Casting announcements of this kind often come before a film begins shooting, so the next clear marker for The Long Run will be the start of production.
