Apple TV's Disavowed adds Zovatto, Tharia and Henry to Marsden thriller

Daniel Zovatto, Mia Tharia and Sonita Henry have joined Apple TV's action thriller Disavowed.
Deadline reported the three castings on 30 September. They expand the ensemble around James Marsden, who stars in the series and is also an executive producer, meaning he helps guide it creatively as well as appear in it.
Marsden plays CIA Case Officer Brad Griffin. Griffin loses his job while hunting the assassin who killed his colleague, then chases a $15 million federal bounty placed on the killer's head. The hunt gets bigger.
Zovatto, Tharia and Henry join four actors already announced for the series. Those are Norman Reedus, Sylvia Hoeks, Bokeem Woodbine and Noma Dumezweni. For viewers, that means a large team of pursuers, targets and officials around Griffin's run at the bounty.
The series is based on an original idea by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Its executive producers are listed as Marcum, Holloway, Tom Spezialy, Michelle MacLaren, Rebecca Hobbs and Marsden, with Theresa Kang and Caroline Garity serving as executive producers for production organisation Blue Marble Pictures.
MacLaren will direct the first two episodes. The show hails from Apple Studios, Apple's in-house production arm.
Apple TV confirmed the project with a series order announced on 6 May 2026, under the title “Apple TV lands ‘Disavowed,’ new action thriller starring and executive produced by James Marsden,” according to the platform’s announcement. Apple describes Marsden, who is recognised for film and television work, as an Emmy and Golden Globe nominee.
No release date has been announced.
