Celtic Come From Behind to Beat Hibernian and Stay Four Points Clear

Celtic came from behind to beat Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road, and the win keeps them four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, the country's top division. The Guardian reported the result.
Hibernian went ahead early through Owen Elding. Celtic levelled when an own goal from Jason Kerr, a player putting the ball into his own net, made it 1-1. Just before half-time, Camilo Duran scored his 10th goal of the season to put Celtic 2-1 in front.
Hibernian had to hold on from there, and they could not do it. The result was a third straight defeat for their manager Marink Reedijk, who took over from David Gray. For Celtic, it was their ninth win in their last 10 league games. Celtic's official website built its match report around Duran, calling him the player who made the difference.
The result matters most at the top of the table. Rangers had cut Celtic's lead to a single point after their win the day before, so Celtic's victory puts the four-point gap back. Each league win is worth three points, so that margin is a useful cushion with the season still young.
Rangers did their part on Saturday. They beat St Johnstone 4-0 at Ibrox, and manager Derek McInnes watched his side take control. Kevin Kelsy scored the opener in the 29th minute. Ryan Naderi doubled the lead in the 61st minute, and Kelsy scored again five minutes later to make it 3-0.
The match turned in the 74th minute. St Johnstone substitute Kai Fotheringham was shown a straight red card for a high challenge on Nico Raskin, which left his side with ten men. Rangers made the most of the extra room. Another substitute, Tochi Chukwuani, scored the fourth goal with three minutes to play.
So Rangers kept the chase alive for one more day, and Celtic answered on Sunday. The title race is still wide open, and the next round of league fixtures will show whether the four-point gap holds.
