PGA Tour Studios Names Brian Gordon Head of Live Content

PGA Tour Studios has named Brian Gordon as its executive producer and head of live content. He started in the role on October 26, 2026, according to Variety.
The job puts him in charge of the studio's live broadcasts. An executive producer is the person who sets the overall shape of a show and makes the big creative calls. Gordon will oversee live production for more than 4,000 hours of PGA Tour Live on the ESPN App, along with PGA Tour Champions, the circuit for players aged 50 and over, and the Korn Ferry Tour, the development tour where players work to earn a place on the main circuit.
His remit covers editorial vision and creative execution, meaning both what the coverage aims to show and how it gets put together on screen. He will report to Luis Goicouria, executive vice president and general manager of PGA Tour Studios.
Gordon's most recent post was global head of programming and audience at Motorsport Network. Before that, he was senior vice president and executive producer at the National Women's Soccer League. Both roles involved live sports output, the kind of programme that has to be produced in real time, with no second take.
The same announcement named Ryan Holcomb as senior vice president and head of original content at PGA Tour Studios. Original content means programmes the studio develops itself, rather than live event coverage. Holcomb's appointment places him alongside Gordon in the studio's leadership structure.
The studio is a 165,000-square-foot production facility on the PGA Tour campus, a setup Variety described when it launched. The tour's chief executive, Brian Rolapp, was first appointed in June 2025 and has overseen a redesign of the tour's competitive structure, according to the PGA Tour.
For viewers, the change is about who sets the direction of the live shows they watch on their phones and TVs. For the crews behind the cameras, it means a new boss with a sports production background, and a long calendar of tournament days ahead. The announcement did not say whether any changes to the schedule or the line-up of shows are planned.
