Jess Gabor and Arthur Langlie will star in "He Talks to Me," a psychological thriller directed by Christina Kallas, Variety reported on 26 October 2026.

The film follows Melody, a young single mother in rural Arkansas. Gabor plays her. Langlie plays Bryce Hagan, a local police officer who follows Melody home for an interrogation. That encounter spirals into a test of survival, coercion and endurance.

Alejandro Adams wrote the screenplay. Mike S. Ryan developed the project and will produce through Greyshack Films, with Derrick Tseng also producing. Sayra Player, Adam David Thompson and Ryan Siegel make up the rest of the cast.

Kallas is a two-time alumna of the Berlinale, the Berlin International Film Festival, and of Slamdance. Her earlier projects include "Paris is in Harlem" and "The Rainbow Experiment." She is a former president of the Federation of Screenwriters in Europe and a member of the Actors Studio.

Gabor has recently wrapped production on Tony Goldwyn's "Hello Darkness." She will also appear in a recurring role in Season 3 of "Daredevil: Born Again." Her film credits include David Michod's "Christy," "The Friend" and Greyson Horst's "Throuple." On television she starred in Season 2 of Paramount+'s "School Spirits" and appeared in Seasons 9 and 10 of "Shameless."

Langlie appeared in Kent Jones' 2025 drama "Late Fame," which stars Willem Dafoe and Greta Lee. His upcoming credits include "Cut Your Teeth" and "Trash Pandas."

For readers new to how films get made, a casting announcement is often one of the first public signs that a project is moving ahead. It is a step in a longer process, which usually includes financing, filming, editing and a plan for where and when audiences will see the finished movie. This announcement does not settle those questions on its own.
