The Bloober Team-developed remake of the original Silent Hill is targeting a 2027 release, according to a report from MP1st. The same report gives the first two cast members, and both are women.

A remake is a rebuilt version of an older game, with new graphics and often new code. The project is codenamed Project Noise, according to the MP1st report. That report says the game is aiming for 2027 as long as Konami, the publisher, keeps its production schedule and nothing changes. Neither Konami nor Bloober Team has announced a date.

The two actresses are Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew. VGC, which reported the story, says it is not yet known which roles either will play. Casting for Harry Mason, the male lead, has not surfaced, so the protagonist's actor remains unknown.

Bloober Team has worked with Konami on this franchise before. Konami credits the studio as developer of its Silent Hill 2 remake, which Konami said would launch on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam on 8 October. Konami describes that game as a remake of the 2001 psychological horror game.

For players, the main takeaway is the timeline. The 2027 target is the first release window reported for this remake, and the cast names are the first details to come out of it. Roles, the lead actor and any firm launch date are still to come.
