Konami packed new game reveals, cast updates, and fresh looks at long-awaited titles into a 30-minute showcase streamed on 3 September 2026.

The "Press Start" broadcast — Konami's recurring digital showcase for upcoming and current games — ran live across YouTube, Twitch, and X. Among the headlines: the publisher revealed cast members for Silent Hill Townfall, re-revealed a previously blockchain-based project, and announced two new RPGs (VGC, 3 September 2026).

Silent Hill Townfall, the next entry in Konami's long-running horror series, shared details on its voice cast. Jovan Adepo, seen in Three Body Problem, leads alongside Terry O'Quinn — best known as Locke in Lost — and Kezia Burrows, who appeared in the sci-fi game Observation. Series producer Motoi Okamoto shared messages with viewers about the project, though no release window was given.

Notably, Konami had stated in advance that the showcase would include no announcements regarding a remake of Silent Hill (Konami, 1 September 2026). Fans hoping for news on that front came away empty-handed, as the publisher promised.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse also received an update during the stream, though the nature of the update was not detailed in the initial report.

Two new RPGs took the spotlight. Rev. Noir, coming to Xbox, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2027, follows characters Asch and Finé as they attempt to stop the Lightfall — a calamity that brings death to everything it touches. Rhapsody in Scarlet is set in 1920s New York City and centres on Ellie, a young jazz singer who encounters Ilya, leader of the Seekers, an elite organisation of magi.

Project Zircon, a roguelike deckbuilding game — a card-driven game where each playthrough generates new challenges — was re-revealed after several years of silence. The title was originally announced as a blockchain game. In its current form, the player rules a nation, recruits Character Cards, and constructs Facilities to save the world from the resurrected Calamity Dragon of the Abyss (VGC, 3 September 2026).

Konami also unveiled Wai Wai World Craft, a game-creation platform in the spirit of user-generated-content tools that let players build and share their own levels. No release date was announced.

The showcase aired under the full title "KONAMI PRESS START 9.3.2026 (KONAMI Game News)" on the publisher's official YouTube channel (YouTube, 3 September 2026).

For fans of Konami's classic franchises, the showcase offered a mixed but full plate: horror updates, a vampire-hunting sequel tease, two brand-new RPG worlds, and the quiet retirement of blockchain ambitions for at least one project. The publisher did not assign release dates to every title shown, leaving some of these games in the "coming eventually" column.
