Kingdom Come: Deliverance Developer Warhorse Studios Confirms Cyberattack

Warhorse Studios, the developer behind the medieval role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance, has confirmed that it was hit by a cyberattack. A cyberattack is an attempt by outside criminals to break into a company's computer systems.
The studio has called the incident serious. It acknowledged the attack in a statement posted on its official X account, and later published a longer statement on its website titled "Official Statement from Warhorse Studios Regarding Cybersecurity Incident."
Chief executive Martin Frývaldský said the immediate priorities are to secure the studio's systems, work out the full extent of the breach, and protect employees, partners and the community. A breach is unauthorised access to a computer system, and working out its extent means establishing what the intruders reached.
Warhorse says it is working with cybersecurity specialists, outside experts who help organisations defend and investigate their networks. Together, the team is trying to lock down its systems and build a full picture of what happened, according to the studio's statement.
The studio is based in the Czech Republic and is known for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, a story-driven game set in medieval Bohemia. Warhorse has not, in the statements published so far, tied the incident to any particular game, service or player account.
Attacks of this kind often take time to investigate, and studios usually update players as the picture becomes clearer.
