Crystal Lake, a Friday the 13th prequel, has been watched for 1.3 billion minutes in its first 11 days on Peacock, according to Variety.

The series premiered exclusively on Peacock on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Its full run is 398 minutes long, so Variety converts those 1.3 billion minutes into an estimated 3.3 million views. In this sense, a view means one person watching the whole series from start to finish.

Variety also reports that Crystal Lake is Peacock's fourth-most-watched scripted original series of all time. A scripted original is a show with a written script, made for the streaming service rather than bought from somewhere else. Only three Peacock titles rank ahead of it on overall minutes watched: The Best Man: The Final Chapters, All Her Fault and The Five Star Weekend Season 1.

Nielsen, the audience measurement company, ranked Crystal Lake as the third-most-watched streaming original series in the week of October 19. The same week, Nielsen placed it third among first-season series streamed across all of television. Those rankings use Nielsen's own method of counting viewing, which is separate from Peacock's minutes figure.

The show has also spread well beyond the streaming app. Variety reports 1.8 billion social media impressions in a single day. An impression is each time a post appears on someone's screen. Separately, Sprout Social measured more than 7.6 million video views over the same 11 days.

The series was created by Brad Caleb Kane, who also serves as showrunner, meaning he is the executive who runs the production day to day. The studio behind it is A24.

The 1.3 billion minutes covers only the first 11 days of streaming.
