Peacock Drops First Trailer for Amy Poehler Comedy Dig

Peacock has released the first trailer for Dig, a 10-episode comedy starring Amy Poehler. All 10 episodes will stream on the service on November 23, 2026, according to Peacock.
The show is set at a dig site in Greece. Archaeologists and college students working there unearth a rare artifact, Deadline reports. Poehler plays Elise, and she is also a co-creator and executive producer. Michael Schur co-created the series with her, and he shares the showrunning job with J.J. Philbin. A showrunner is the lead writer and producer who runs a series day to day, from scripts to the final edit.
The cast also includes Hugh Laurie as Neville, Geraldine Viswanathan as Dylan, Antonia Thomas as Clare and Fina Strazza as Patty.
The series is based on Excavations, a 2023 novel by Kate Myers. Peacock describes the book as the source for the show. Poehler and Schur first announced their reunion for the project in May 2025, when Peacock shared the news on its own blog. Peacock released a first look featuring Laurie and Poehler in August, The Hollywood Reporter reported at the time.
The new trailer is titled "DIG | Official Trailer | Peacock Original" on Peacock's YouTube channel. A Peacock Original is a series made for the streamer rather than bought from another network.
For viewers, the practical details are simple. Everything arrives at once on November 23, so there is no weekly wait between episodes. Anyone who wants to watch will need a Peacock subscription, which the service sells as a paid plan. The trailer gives the first clear look at the cast and the setting, and the full season will show how the story plays out.
