Chucky Leaves Dead by Daylight on November 24

Chucky is leaving Dead by Daylight. The game's developer, Behaviour Interactive, has announced that the Chucky chapter will be removed on November 24, 2026. That includes playable killer Chucky and the Tiffany Legendary Outfit, a cosmetic costume for the character.
Dead by Daylight is a horror game in which four survivors try to escape while a killer hunts them. Licensed characters from horror films and series appear as playable killers, and each one arrives through a deal with the rights holder. Those deals do not last forever.
Behaviour Interactive said its goal is always to keep licences in Dead by Daylight permanently. A removal happens only when the studio cannot keep a licence, despite its best efforts. The studio explained the decision in an interview with IGN, published on October 27, 2026.
Players who already own The Good Guy, his perks, or related cosmetics can keep using them after November 24, 2026. The removal takes the content out of the game for new purchases and for play beyond that date only if it is no longer available. In its latest statement, published on October 28, 2026, the studio said owners keep access to what they have bought.
Chucky is not the first licensed character to leave. Michael Myers was removed from the game in January, and Pinhead from Hellraiser was removed in 2025. Both were removed before the Chucky announcement.
Removals do not always end a character's time in the game. The Demogorgon from Stranger Things was taken out in 2021 and returned two years later. Behaviour Interactive said horror icons will continue to have an open invitation to join or rejoin Dead by Daylight, which covers characters like Chucky, Pinhead and Michael Myers.
For players, the key dates are simple. Chucky and the Tiffany Legendary Outfit leave on November 24, 2026. Anything already owned stays usable after that day, and the studio has said the door remains open for horror icons to return.
