London-based booking and payments platform Easol has secured US$30 million in a Series A extension, a later round of funding from investors who already back a young company, according to Music Business Worldwide, published on 28 October 2026.

The money comes in two parts. Of the $30 million, $20 million is equity, meaning investors buy a share of the company. The other $10 million is a debt facility, a loan that has to be paid back with interest. Viola Credit provided the loan. The equity came from Y Combinator, Tiger Global, Foundation Capital, FMZ Ventures, Notion Capital and Eight Roads. Including the debt, Easol's total funding stands at $60 million.

Easol describes itself as an "experience commerce" platform, which is a way of saying it sells tickets and bookings for live events, from festival passes to guided tours and hospitality packages. The company says 2.8 million guests have booked experiences through its platform so far in 2026, across more than 135 countries.

Alongside the funding, Easol launched Teammates, a set of AI agents built for festival and experience businesses. An AI agent is a software program that can carry out routine tasks on its own, such as answering customer questions or handling bookings, rather than waiting for a person to click each step. Easol's website lists three of them: an Easol Agent, a Sales Agent and a Support Agent.

Easol says the agents run inside its existing platform. The company points to single sign-on, which lets staff log in once to reach several tools, along with SOC 2 compliance, an independent security audit standard, plus audit logs that record who did what, and data residency settings that control where customer information is stored.

The company has also signed new clients. Easol named Coachella, Stagecoach, Head Trip, Elements Festival, Camp Flog Gnaw, Boots in the Park and Snowboxx as customers. Ben Simpson is co-founder and chief executive. Easol has offices in London, New York and Los Angeles.

For festival organisers, the appeal of tools like these is in the day-to-day work. Ticket questions, group bookings and payment problems arrive in large volumes in the weeks before a show, and a team of any size has to answer them. Whether Teammates changes how those jobs get done is something the coming festival seasons will show, and no timeline for that has been given.

The raise also shows how far investors are willing to back event technology. A $30 million round that mixes equity and a loan is a common structure for companies that need cash to grow without giving up more ownership than necessary.
