Kevin Jonas has admitted that he accidentally sent a photo of his genitals to a group chat with his brothers. He made the admission on an episode of his podcast, Hey Jonas!, and Billboard reported the story on 28 October 2026.

The Jonas Brothers guitarist says the picture was meant to be something else entirely. He wanted to show the TV in his bathroom, which was showing the announcement that J.J. McCarthy would start against the Houston Texans. He took the shot as he was getting into the shower, and a mirror below the TV reflected him instead.

The chat has existed for 15 years. Its members include Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, the band's original drummer, their friend Carl from New York, and Rob Hoffman, a friend and former Jonas Brothers tour photographer.

Kevin's reaction was fast. He sent panic texts asking the group to delete the photo and the whole thread. Nick Jonas replied with two words: "Go Giants." Hoffman answered with laughing emojis, according to People.

Kevin also sent a message that called himself a fool. In a group-chat message, he wrote "I'm such a moron," as News.com.au reported. He also told the podcast about the aftermath at home. When he told his wife, Danielle, what had happened, she replied "Oh no!"

Mishaps like this are common enough in group chats, where one message can reach a dozen people in seconds. The others in the chat have not said anything publicly beyond the replies he described. The story is a reminder to check which thread is open before hitting send.
