Olivia Holt, Jaimie Alexander and Rohan Campbell Cast in Horror Film Survive: The Game

Olivia Holt, Jaimie Alexander and Rohan Campbell have been cast to lead Survive: The Game, a horror film that is already shooting in the Basque region of northern Spain. Deadline reported the casting on 28 October 2026.
The story follows a group of friends who dig up an ancient board game inside a secluded cabin. Every roll of the dice brings a deadly fate to life. That premise gives the film its central idea: the game itself decides who gets hurt next.
Scout Taylor-Compton directs the film and co-wrote the script with Michael Kennedy. Filming is taking place entirely in Gipuzkoa, the Spanish province that takes in San Sebastián, according to Deadline. Sets are being built at Zinealdea Studios, and the crew is also shooting on location in Irún, a town on the Spanish side of the French border.
The producing team is spread across several companies. Randy Wayne and Talia Bella produce under Rebellium Films. Tom O'Connell and Scout Taylor-Compton produce under Building Blocks Productions. Amy Covell produces under Red Phoenix Productions. Leire Apellaniz of Sr. y Sra., Mark Albela, Michael Kennedy and Dauntless Productions are listed as executive producers.
A quick note on those roles. Producers handle the practical side of making a film, from money and hiring to the schedule. Executive producers usually oversee the project from a step back, often bringing in funding or partners. Many films list several of each, especially when more than one company is involved.
For a horror film, a single shooting base in one region keeps the cast and crew in one place for the length of the shoot. The casting is the news for now: three leads, one director, and a production that has already started work in Spain.
