A live, shot-for-shot parody of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring is heading to London, then Birmingham. WhatsOnStage has confirmed the cast and dates for Fly, You Fools!, which begins its London run at Southwark Playhouse Borough on 25 November 2026.

The London run continues until 16 January 2027, and the opening night is set for 27 November. After London, the show moves to Birmingham Rep for five performances, from 20 to 23 January.

The show recreates the 2001 film frame by frame, and it squeezes the 178-minute original into a 60-minute theatre performance. The team behind it, Recent Cutbacks, also made Hold On To Your Butts. Kristin McCarthy Parker directs the production. She is also a producer and co-founder of the company.

Jack Baldwin, Charlie Burt, David Hoskin, Charlie Ives and Laurence Pears are set to star in both cities. The production also uses a Foley artist, the person who makes sound effects live on stage.

The London run arrives in the 25th anniversary year of The Fellowship of the Ring. The company also offers the show for touring, workshops and licensing, which means other theatres and groups can book it.
