Apple's serial-killer thriller Nocturne is listed to air on Friday, Oct. 30. The show stars Liev Schreiber and Stephen Graham, and The Hollywood Reporter has published a review of it.

Graham plays Jurek Walter, a convicted murderer at the centre of the story. Schreiber plays Jonah, a former Philadelphia police detective. Apple's own synopsis names him Jonah Lynn and says he has a protégé, a younger officer named Saga Bauer, meaning a student or partner he is training. The same synopsis says that one of Walter's victims turns up alive.

The series has been in the works for some time. In May 2025, Apple TV gave the go-ahead to a drama starring Schreiber, Zazie Beetz and Graham. In July 2026, Apple TV gave the project its current name, Nocturne, and described it as a limited series, meaning a show told in one set run of episodes rather than an open-ended run.

The wider cast includes Beetz, Rory Culkin, Bill Camp, Gary Carr, Chrissy Metz, Landon Valentin and Poorna Jagannathan. The series was created by Rowan Joffé. It is based on The Sandman, a novel by Lars Kepler.

For viewers, the practical detail is simple. The show is due on Apple's streaming service on Friday, Oct. 30, and it will arrive as a single package rather than in weekly instalments. Anyone who wants to see how the story runs can watch from the first episode on that date, according to the listing.

Apple has not, in the material published so far, released viewing figures for the series, and none are included here.
