Dominic Fike's "Babydoll" has reached No. 1 on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart dated Nov. 7, Billboard reported on Oct. 30. It is the first No. 1 on that chart for Fike, and the song is older than many of the listeners now hearing it. It was first released in 2018.

Pop Airplay ranks songs by how often they are played on radio. The chart counts weekly plays of nearly 150 U.S. mainstream top 40 stations, tracked by Mediabase and supplied to Billboard by Luminate. "Babydoll" gained 1% in plays during Oct. 23-29. KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, KMVQ in San Francisco and KHKS in Dallas were among the stations leading its support.

The song has been climbing in other places too. It became a top three hit on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts in April. It also reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main U.S. singles chart, which is Fike's first top 10 on that list.

The running totals are large. From its release through Oct. 29, "Babydoll" had 800 million U.S. streams. It also logged 697 million plays across all radio formats in the United States, and 11,000 U.S. sales. Sales are counted as individual purchases of the track, while streams and airplay are counted separately.

The song first appeared on Fike's 2018 EP, "Don't Forget About Me, Demos." The current release is credited to Sandy Boys, Columbia and Legacy. Fike's third studio album, "How To Quit Smoking," arrived on Oct. 30, the same day Billboard published its report.

Billboard's charts dated Nov. 7 will update on Billboard.com on Nov. 3, when the Pop Airplay ranking will be published in full.
