Aaron Frazer Releases 'Corners', a Six-Track EP, on Dead Oceans

Aaron Frazer released his new EP, Corners, on 30 October 2026 through the independent label Dead Oceans. The release has six tracks and runs 19 minutes. An EP, short for extended play, is a release shorter than a full album.

The EP is led by two singles, "It's a Shame" and "Paint the Picture." Frazer told Billboard that his first plan was to put out 12 singles, because he believes listeners do not finish albums. The plan changed, and the project came out as a shorter set.

The songs were written and recorded between tours over the past year, according to Frazer's own website. The track order runs "Same Old Game," "Paint The Picture," "Let Your Love Grow," "Back Into The World," "Tell Me" and "It's A Shame." Several other musicians contributed, including Tommy Brenneck, Mayer Hawthorne, Anthony Masino, Gabe Roth, Kelly Finnegan, Blake Rhein and Cold Diamond & Mink.

For the visuals, Frazer worked with director and choreographer Camryn Eakes on three music videos. He also took one-on-one dance lessons with Eakes. Frazer describes himself as predominantly a drummer, so the dance work was a new kind of preparation for him.

Frazer is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. He first became known as the co-lead vocalist and drummer of Durand Jones & the Indications, the soul-leaning band whose most recent album is Flowers, released in 2025. His first solo album, Introducing…, came out in January 2021 and was produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. His second, Into the Blue, followed in 2024.

Physical copies have a separate route to buyers. The 45s of Corners are available at Colemine Records. A 45 is a seven-inch vinyl single, the small record format often used for one or two songs per side.

For listeners who follow a project from release day, the EP is now out in full. The three videos, the single run and the vinyl are all tied to the same six songs, and the track list is short enough to play straight through in about 19 minutes.
