Harry Styles finished his Together, Together run at Madison Square Garden on October 31 with a banner from New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson. The run was a residency, meaning a long stand of shows in one venue, and it totalled 30 nights.

Styles played the Garden every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for 10 weeks. The tour had earlier stops in Amsterdam, London, Brazil and Mexico City before it reached New York, according to Rolling Stone.

The banner arrived during the second of two back-to-back Halloween shows, which the Garden run had billed as "Harryween." Brunson presented it wearing a "Techno Is My Boyfriend" hat. The banner marked the consecutive run of shows, a tradition at the arena. Styles completed a 15-night run there in 2022 and received a similar banner at his final show that year, the same report says.

The costumes were the main event. On the Friday show, Styles wore an Elvis outfit. On the Saturday, he dressed as a New York City rat, the viral "Pizza Rat" that became a local legend after a 2015 video. He performed a version of "Psycho Killer" by the Talking Heads in that outfit, as Yahoo Entertainment reported.

Later in the set, he changed into the outfit he wore at his audition for the British TV talent show The X Factor and sang Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely," the same song he used to audition. The move gave the night a full circle, with the costume and the song both pointing back to where his career began.

Brunson and Styles have a connection that goes back to September. At an earlier Garden show that month, Styles called Brunson the "king of New York," according to the New York Post. The Knicks guard's appearance on Halloween turned that shout-out into an on-stage moment.

For fans who went to several of the 30 nights, the run ended with a costume change, a banner and a crowd that had seen a lot of different versions of the same show. For the people who build those nights, from the stagehands to the arena crews, the last night is also the point where a long schedule finally closes. The Garden can now prepare for its next booking.
