Lydia Plath Shares a Memorial Box for the Baby She Lost

Lydia Plath, a star of the reality show Welcome to Plathville, has shared a private act of remembrance with her followers. On October 31, the 22-year-old posted Instagram footage of herself making a memorial for the first child she lost in a miscarriage.
She said the project was hard, but it was also healing. US Magazine reported on the video, which shows her building a shadow box, a framed display with layers of small objects inside.
According to US Magazine, her box uses a glass frame from Hobby Lobby. Inside are handwritten letters, beads, stickers, knit baby booties, a wooden cross, and her positive pregnancy test.
Plath and her husband, Zac Wyse, announced earlier in October that she had lost their first child. On October 15, she said she had been hospitalized while miscarrying, with heavy bleeding. She said she needed an emergency D&C (a procedure to remove tissue from the uterus) and a blood transfusion. In a separate Instagram reel posted October 25, she said she had lost the pregnancy at 18 weeks.
The couple has been together since 2024 and married in February 2025. Plath is 22 and Wyse is 25.
Her latest post is the newest update she has shared about the loss. Her Instagram account uses the name Lydia Joy Wyse, with the handle @lydiajoyplath.
