At Dead Of Night 2 Is Coming "(Very) Soon", Baggy Cat Confirms

Baggy Cat Games has confirmed a sequel to At Dead Of Night, the horror game that drew attention for its unusual look. The new title, At Dead Of Night 2: The Great Hugo, is coming "(very) soon", the studio said. Eurogamer reported the confirmation on 1 November 2026.
The original game is a horror story set in an old hotel on a remote headland. It blends live-action footage with computer graphics, a style often called full-motion video, or FMV, in which filmed performances carry the story. Players control Maya, a student trapped inside the hotel.
The sequel picks up five years later. Maya is still haunted by what happened at the Sea View Hotel. This time her investigation leads to a large Tudor manor house, a home built in the style of the English 1500s.
The story starts with a memory. Maya recalls a ghost box, a radio-style device used in ghost hunting, that she used at Sea View. She left it behind when she escaped. Later she searches auction sites and antique shops and finds a similar-looking device. She cannot get it to work.
She calls her old friend Quinn, a counsellor who once helped her understand her experiences in the hotel. Quinn recognises the device. Quinn knows that devices like it were made by an inventor who lived in a large Tudor manor not far from Sea View. Quinn warns Maya not to try to get it working.
Maya does not take that advice. She goes on her own investigation.
Baggy Cat's official website features a trailer for the game, and says the sequel will be released soon. The studio has not given a more specific date. Players who want to see the story's first look can find the trailer on the studio's site.
