Phantom Blade Zero Passes 4 Million Copies Sold in 72 Hours

Phantom Blade Zero has sold more than 4 million copies in its first 72 hours on sale, according to S-Game, the studio behind the game. The studio shared the milestone on the game's official X account on 2 November 2026.
The game is a wuxia action role-playing game. Wuxia is a style of martial-arts fantasy drawn from Chinese storytelling, and role-playing games let players build and guide a character through a story. Phantom Blade Zero is available on Steam, the PC storefront run by Valve, and on PlayStation 5.
The 4 million figure covers copies sold, not the number of people who have played. S-Game made that distinction in its post. The total also includes sales through Tencent WeGame, a PC launcher that is exclusive to China.
Steam player numbers tell a related story. Eurogamer reported that the game drew more than 431,000 concurrent players on Steam at launch, and reached a peak of 833,921. "Concurrent" means the number of people playing at the same moment. Eurogamer also described the launch as Steam's biggest of the year so far.
Before the release, sales were already strong. IGN reported on 29 October 2026 that the game had sold more than 1 million copies before launch across Steam and PS5. In a separate IGN video from the same day, the figure for Western sales on Steam and PS5 was given as 850,000 copies. The game also reached the top of Steam's sales charts within hours of going live.
The 4 million total is a figure the studio has announced. Sales figures of this kind are usually updated as more copies are sold, and the studio has not yet said when its next total will come.
For players, the numbers mean the game has a large and active audience in its first days. Anyone thinking of picking it up can buy it on Steam or PS5, and the PC version is the one most players appear to have chosen so far. Players who want to know how the game plays should check reviews and trailers, since sales figures do not measure quality.
