Yaeji has released a new single, "DDR," out on Monday 2 November 2026 through the independent label XL. The track is the first single of 2026 from the artist, and she made it with Enayet and K Wata. Pitchfork reported the release alongside a new music video.

The video was directed by Giseong Jun. Its title, which Pitchfork's headline puts as Yaeji "plotting" a Dance Dance Revolution, points to the arcade game in which players step on floor pads in time with arrows on a screen. The song borrows that name and that idea of a dance floor game with a clear pattern to follow.

"DDR" comes after "Pondeggi," released last year, and "Booboo2," a collaboration with Underscores and Aliyah's Interlude. Together, the three releases show a steady run of new music rather than a single long gap between projects.

Yaeji is also hosting a party to go with the song. She announced an all-night DDR party at Paragon, a venue in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday 6 November. The lineup is DJ Swisha, OSSX, Lil C and DJ Noir. Ticket prices have not been announced, so anyone planning to attend should check the venue or ticketing listing directly before going.

Her last full album, With A Hammer, came out in 2023 and included collaborations with Loraine James and K Wata, according to DJ Mag. K Wata is again on "DDR," this time as one of the three people who made the track.

For listeners, the single is out now, the video is online, and the next date on the calendar is the Brooklyn party on Friday. The night is built around a dance game, so the easiest way to hear the song is probably on a floor with other people, moving to it.
