Doechii Releases "LOCK JAW," the Latest Swamp Sessions Track

Doechii released "LOCK JAW" on Friday, Oct. 30, as the newest installment of her Swamp Sessions series. The song leans into dance-pop, a style built around bright, bouncy beats made for the dance floor.
The track also interpolates Snap!'s 1992 hit "Rhythm Is a Dancer." To interpolate a song means to re-record a melody or phrase from an earlier hit and build a new track around it, so listeners who know the original will hear it woven into the new song. Billboard reported the release and its musical links to the 1992 record.
The accompanying video has a slumber party theme. Doechii published the "LOCK JAW | Swamp Sessions" video on her official YouTube channel, @IamdoechiiTV, where she is credited as director. Darius Hickman co-stars with her in the clip. Watch the video on YouTube.
"LOCK JAW" joins two earlier Swamp Sessions tracks released in October, "BOMB" and "CATWOMAN." That makes three entries in the series this month, with the newest one arriving on the final day of the month.
Doechii's track record includes a few major milestones. Her 2024 mixtape, "Alligator Bites Never Heal," won best rap album at the 2025 Grammy Awards, the music industry's main annual awards. The same mixtape reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200, the main US album chart, which ranks records by a mix of sales, album-equivalent streams and radio airplay.
She has also appeared on a big single. Her collaboration with Lady Gaga, "Runway," reached No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main US singles chart.
For listeners, the practical point is simple. The song is available now, and the series is building one track at a time. Anyone wanting the full set can follow her official channel, where each release has been posted with its video.
