The Wiggles joined 5 Seconds of Summer onstage in Melbourne on Monday night (2 November), for the final song of the band's show at Rod Laver Arena.

The song was "Everyone's a Star!", which shares its name with 5 Seconds of Summer's sixth studio album. The children's group's appearance brought out Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and the Tree of Wisdom, the characters that have long been part of their live shows. Original Purple Wiggle Jeff Fatt also took part, according to Billboard.

Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins said the group had joined the band to celebrate Australian talent and bring what she called "Wiggly magic" to the closing number. She posted video of the performance to her Facebook page on 2 November.

The Melbourne concert was part of 5 Seconds of Summer's Everyone's a Star! World Tour, which supports the album of the same name. Republic Records released the album in 2025. It debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, the main US chart that ranks albums by their sales and streams in a week.

The band's Australian leg has already visited Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Adelaide and Perth dates are still to come.

The Wiggles are touring too. Their Sparkle! BIG SHOW runs through December, with stops that include Newcastle, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston, Brisbane, Wollongong and Sydney. John Cain Arena lists the group's Melbourne shows for Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November 2026.

For the families in the crowd, the night was a surprise. For the musicians and crew who spent it on a stage built for a rock show, it was one more song in a long run, with a few extra hands onstage for the last one.
