Remedy's Revenue Jumps 226% After Control Resonant Launch

Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment says its revenue rose 226% in the third quarter of 2026, to €39.6 million, after the September release of Control Resonant. The company published its Q3 2026 Business Review on 3 November 2026.
Q3 covers the three months from July to September. Remedy also swung from a loss to a profit. It reported an operating profit of €0.6 million, compared with a loss of €16.4 million in the same quarter last year. An operating profit is what a company earns from its main business before interest and tax.
Chief executive Jean-Charles Gaudechon called the quarter "a defining milestone for the company." Eurogamer reported the figures, which show the new game as the main driver of the rise.
Where the players are is also part of the story. According to the figures, the United States accounted for nearly half of Control Resonant players across PC and console. Chinese-speaking regions came second, followed by the United Kingdom. Nearly half of the players had never played a Control game before, so the launch drew in a new audience as well as returning fans.
The earlier game helped too. Sales of Control (2019) rose after Control Resonant arrived, beating the two previous quarters and the same quarter last year. Remedy says Control Resonant has now passed one million sales.
Interest was building before launch. Ahead of release, the game had more than 1.5 million wishlists on Steam, the PC storefront run by Valve. A wishlist is a saved request that lets a player get an alert when a game goes on sale or launches.
Remedy will host a results webcast in English for investors, analysts and the media on 3 November 2026 at 12:00 p.m. The full Business Review is available on the company's investor relations site.
For players, the numbers are a snapshot of a studio's year, not a verdict on the game itself. Revenue and profit show how a launch went commercially. Remedy has not given those details so far.
