Control Resonant Gets New Game++, Photo Mode and New Outfits

Remedy Entertainment will let Control Resonant players replay the story on a loop without losing progress.
The studio has outlined its initial post-launch plans for the game, with a New Game++ mode due in October and Photo Mode due in November, plus new outfits for lead character Dylan Faden. Eurogamer reported the roadmap on 25 September 2026, following details published on Remedy's own site. Remedy Entertainment
New Game++ builds on New Game Plus, a replay mode that lets players start the story again while keeping powers and upgrades earned the first time. The idea is simple. Where New Game Plus covers the first replay, New Game++ will allow players to start another New Game Plus run after a New Game Plus run without erasing progress.
The current New Game Plus mode already carries over most of Dylan's paranatural upgrades, the strange powers collected through the story. The exception is traversal abilities, the movement powers used to get around the world, which do not carry over.
Photo Mode is next. Remedy plans to add the feature, a built-in tool for pausing the action and taking staged pictures, in November. It is a standard addition for story-led action games, and gives players control over camera angles, poses and filters.
Remedy is also working on additional cosmetic pieces for Dylan for future updates. Cosmetics change how a character looks without changing how they play. The studio has not given a date or price for those items, only that more outfit options are in development.
For fans, this means the first months after launch are about replay and personalisation rather than new story. Keep the build, run it again, dress Dylan differently, take the picture.
