Peak Design Adds a Premium Charging Line Led by a $99.95 Travel Battery

Peak Design has expanded its catalog of chargers and charging accessories with a new collection built around premium materials and added functionality. The centerpiece is the Wireless Kickstand Travel Battery, priced at $99.95. The company groups the products under a line called Charging Essentials, which covers chargers, cables and stands. The Travel Battery combines a 5,000mAh cell (a measure of how much charge the battery stores) with a magnetic housing machined from anodized aluminum and a folding kickstand. It comes in black and moon, a cream finish. Peak Design describes it as the world's first Qi2.3-certified wireless charger. Qi2 is the current generation of the Qi wireless standard, which uses magnets to align a phone with the charging coil. According to the company, the Travel Battery delivers up to 25W to a compatible device when connected to a USB power source, and up to 15W when running on battery alone. The Verge
The Wireless Charging Station 2-in-1, also priced at $99.95, is Qi2.2-compatible and carries two 25W pads that the company says can run simultaneously at full power. One pad sits on a base of die-cast aluminum and zinc. The other sits on an adjustable arm that folds flat for travel. The Verge
On the wired side, the Dual Slim Charger lists at $64.95. It uses GaN (gallium nitride, a semiconductor that handles higher power in a smaller package than traditional silicon), measures half an inch thick, and delivers up to 65W across two USB-C ports. The USB-C UltraStrand Cables range from $24.95 to $39.95. The 60W / 480Mbps version comes in lengths from 15 centimeters to 2 meters. The 240W / 40Gbps version comes in lengths from 15 centimeters to 1 meter. The Verge
The company's Wireless Charging Stand uses Qi2 and folds up for travel. Peak Design states that Qi2 charging reaches maximum speeds twice as fast as traditional Qi1 wireless chargers. The stand is powered by NuCurrent technology. Peak Design Support Peak Design also describes its mobile ecosystem as MagSafe-compatible. Peak Design Mobile
Peak Design positions the Kickstand Travel Battery as a slim premium battery pack with a fully integrated, ultra-stable kickstand. The company says it works as both a portable charger and a desk or bedside stand. Availability is staggered. The Wireless Kickstand Travel Battery and certain lengths of UltraStrand USB-C cables are scheduled for November 5. The Verge A Yahoo Tech report states that the new charging collection became available at Peak Design US on 3 November 2026. Yahoo Tech Peter Dering is the company's founder and CEO.
The broader context here is a shift in how the accessory market prices its products. Wireless charging has moved from a convenience feature to a premium tier, with buyers paying for magnetic alignment, stand functionality and multi-device output. Wired chargers compete on power density, with GaN bricks shrinking while their port counts grow. Peak Design's bundle addresses both sides of that split.
In my view, the figures most worth testing are the ones that depend on the device in hand. The advertised 25W and 15W wireless outputs, and the doubled Qi2 speed the company cites, will vary with phone model, case thickness, magnet alignment and the power source feeding the battery. Anyone evaluating the Travel Battery against a current handset should measure real-world delivery rather than rely on the headline number.
In my view, the more useful question for buyers is whether one kit can replace a drawer full of mismatched adapters and cables. A 65W two-port charger, a folding wireless stand and a battery that doubles as a bedside stand cover a lot of daily use. Whether the products hold up across two or three years of travel and desk use is a question for later testing, not for a launch announcement.
