Wisin Signs New Release Deal With Sony Music Latin

Wisin has signed a new agreement with Sony Music Latin to release his upcoming music projects, Billboard reported on 3 November 2026. The deal does not take his music away from his own company. His projects will still come out under La Base Music Group, the label he founded. Sony Music Latin is led by its president, Alex Gallardo.
A record label is the company that puts out and promotes an artist's recordings. Wisin started La Base Music Group to back new talent, and it debuted in 2020. Chris Andrew and Abdiel Larralde were among its first signed artists.
Wisin's wider team has also changed recently. He has signed with WME, a talent agency, in all areas. He has also signed a direct management deal with D27 Entertainment, a company founded by his manager, Chris Duque. A management company looks after an artist's day-to-day career, from scheduling to business decisions.
His latest album is Universidad del Perreo, released in September. It has 12 tracks and features Ivy Queen, Jowell & Randy and Kapo.
The album is also the basis of a tour. Wisin's Universidad del Perreo world tour opens with two shows on 13 and 14 November at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, the arena in San Juan. Fans who plan to attend will be looking at those dates first.
For the people who work on a tour, the opening weeks matter as much as the headline shows. Crews, sound engineers and venue staff all need confirmed dates before they can plan their work. The two November shows give that schedule its first fixed points.
The announcement is one of several moves this autumn that put Wisin's career on a new footing. The label, the agency, the management company and the record deal now sit under separate, named partners, and the first release under the Sony agreement is still to come.
