Moft Opens Preorders for a Folding Dynamic Folio Case for the iPhone Duo

Moft is taking preorders for a redesigned Dynamic Folio Case for the iPhone Duo at $89.99 through its online store, with shipping expected to begin in mid-December.
The Dynamic Folio first appeared in early 2025 as an iPad accessory. Moft's current product pages list it for the iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2025 and iPad mini. For the Duo, the company has rebuilt the concept as a case, and The Verge reports that the design keeps the folio's origami-style cover, which the company says can be reconfigured into a finger grip while the phone is held.
The cover's main function is support. It folds several ways to act as a kickstand (a fold-out stand that props up a device) in both landscape and portrait orientations, and it can prop the phone at a range of angles for hands-free use. One configuration, which Moft calls "Lounge Mode," holds the Duo at an angle for use while lying in bed. Both versions of the Dynamic Folio also help protect the Duo's outer display from scratches.
The case wraps both displays in MOVAS vegan leather, according to Mashable. It clips securely to the phone and covers the back along with the front and rear edges. When traveling, the case folds flat so it can slide into a backpack or briefcase.
The Verge also describes a separate $69.99 Dynamic Folio that attaches magnetically to the back of the Duo, making removal easier. Moft's product listing describes the magnetic attachment as allowing quick removal and accessory switching. The $89.99 preorder price is listed for the Dynamic Folio Case for the Duo. Moft's collection pages show color pairings for the Duo version, including Light Pink x Brownie and Khaki Green x Brownie. The Verge lists navy blue, misty cove and sapphire as the available options for the case.
Moft's homepage positions the brand around modular carry products for the iPhone Duo and minimalist everyday carry products for the iPhone 18 series.
The broader context here is a familiar one for anyone who has tracked the case market through successive device generations. A form-factor change, such as a foldable or a dual-display design, forces accessory makers to rethink retention, hinge protection and display coverage at the same time. Moft's answer, a magnetic mount on one hand and a folding cover that doubles as a stand on the other, is one approach: a single accessory platform adapted from tablet to phone by changing the attachment method rather than creating a new product concept. Moft's homepage framing also points to the folio being treated less as a standalone stand and more as one component of a wider accessory system built around Apple's newer hardware.
In my view, the more useful question for buyers is whether the magnetic and clip-on versions hold up to daily wear. Shipping is not expected until mid-December, so independent testing of the folding hinge, the grip mechanism and the vegan leather will have to wait for units in hand.
For now, the announcement is a preorder and a set of specifications, not a shipping product. Moft has now carried the concept of a single folding accessory that serves as a stand, a grip and a protective shell from the iPad to the Duo. Customers will learn in December whether the design performs the same way in daily use.
