Readers have picked "La Rosita de mi Boca" by Grupo Cañaveral and Olivia Wald as their favourite new Latin release of the week, according to Billboard, which published the results on Nov. 3.

The song took more than 53 percent of the vote in Billboard's weekly New Music Latin poll. Chuyin's "Fuga Pa San Carlos" came second with more than 42 percent.

The poll is simple to join. Billboard lists the week's new Latin releases and asks readers to vote for one. Yorghaki's "catira" was also on the list for this round. The voting closed at 11 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday, Nov. 2, after the poll opened on Oct. 30.

Billboard only publishes results when a poll draws more than 1,000 votes. This week's poll cleared that bar, so the winner was announced in the same article that named the top two songs. Jessica Roiz wrote the Billboard report.

The poll is a reader vote, not a sales chart. It counts how many people chose a song in one short window, so it does not measure how many copies sold or how often a song was streamed. Those numbers are tracked by separate charts that Billboard publishes on different schedules.

For the artists, a poll win is a public thank-you from listeners who took a few minutes to vote. For fans of Latin music, the result is a quick way to see which new releases caught attention in a single week, and a reminder that the weekly poll gives smaller songs a shot at a headline alongside the big names.

Grupo Cañaveral and Olivia Wald's song now sits at the top of that week's results. The next poll will run on a new set of releases.
