Diana Ross will headline a one-night-only concert in Sydney on Friday, March 5, 2027, according to Billboard. The show is part of Sydney Summertime, a new outdoor concert series at Centennial Park.

The concert is billed as an exclusive Australian performance and is titled "Diana Ross Freedom in Motion." Black Peach Touring is the promoter. The date falls on the eve of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. Ross last performed in Australia in November 2006, with concerts in Melbourne and Sydney.

Sydney Summertime runs at Centennial Park in February and March 2027, according to the series' announcement. Ross is the third international headliner confirmed for the inaugural season, after The Strokes and Kings of Leon. Groove Armada will also join her on stage for a DJ set, a performance in which a DJ mixes recorded music live.

Tickets are the next step for anyone planning to attend. Presales open at 9am local time on Monday, November 9, 2026. A presale is an early ticket window, held before tickets reach the wider public. General admission starts at $205 in Australian dollars, Marie Claire Australia reports.

Ross has signalled more dates to come. Her official website says more shows will be announced for 2027. On October 7, 2026, she posted on her official Facebook account that announcements about her 2027 tour were on the way.

For Sydney fans, the story is a single night in a big outdoor park, with a long gap since her last visit. For the wider Australian live scene, it adds another headline name to a summer season that has only just been announced. Ticket sales will show how quickly the show fills, and the Sydney date may not be the only one on the calendar.
