Pierfrancesco Favino is now on screen as Sergio Marchionne, the Italian business leader who ran Fiat and later Fiat Chrysler. A first-look image from Marco Bellocchio's film Falcon has been unveiled, Deadline reported on 4 November 2026.

A first look is an early still, usually released well before any trailer. It gives audiences their first glimpse of an actor inside a role, and it often sets the tone for how a film will be talked about in the months ahead.

Favino is one of Italy's best-known actors, and Bellocchio is one of the country's most celebrated directors, with a career that stretches back to the 1960s. Marchionne died in 2018. He is remembered for steering Fiat through a long and difficult period, then leading the merged Fiat Chrysler group until shortly before his death. Playing a real figure means an actor must match not only looks but manner, voice and the pressures of a public job.

Separately, a different Italian story came from the Cannes Film Festival's 79th edition. Bradley Fiomona Dembeasset won the best actor prize in the Un Certain Regard section for Congo Boy, according to Rai Cinema, the film arm of Italian broadcaster RAI. Un Certain Regard is a side section that runs alongside the festival's main competition and showcases films with a distinctive voice.

Cannes awards are often the first public sign of a film's life beyond its makers. Sales agents and distributors use festival prizes to decide where a film goes next, and that can shape when audiences first see it.

For now, the news is a single image and a single prize. Each is a small public step in a longer process, and both show how many people, from actors and directors to festival programmers and sales teams, shape what eventually reaches a screen.
