Cooper Tomlinson, Jessica Rothe and Mika Abdalla Cast in Mystery Thriller Seeker

Cooper Tomlinson, Jessica Rothe and Mika Abdalla have been cast to lead Seeker, a mystery thriller that is scheduled to shoot in Washington State in January 2027. Deadline broke the casting as an exclusive on 4 November 2026.

The story follows Grant, a ride-share driver played by Tomlinson. Grant is still haunted by the disappearance of his fiancée, Caroline, five years earlier. Abdalla plays Caroline.

Adam Rehmeier will direct the film from an original screenplay by Michael Learner. Learner is also one of the producers for Hammerstone Studios, which is backing the project alongside Script 2 Screen. The two companies are fully financing the film, which means the money to make it is already in place before filming begins.

Other producers include Alex Lebovici and Michael Learner for Hammerstone Studios, Adam McKay and Todd Schulman for HyperObject Industries, and Noah Centineo and Enzo Marc for Arkhum Productions. Samuel Hall and Warren Goz of north.five.six. are executive producers, along with Ibrahim Mohammed, Yasmyne Mohammed and Chase Vergari.

The film will be offered for sale at the American Film Market next week, according to Deadline. The market is a trade event where sales agents show films to distributors, the companies that buy the right to release a film in cinemas and on streaming services. Sales are split by territory. North.five.six. represents international distribution rights, while CAA Media Finance handles the U.S. rights.

For a film that has not started shooting, the next steps are the sale at the market and then the production schedule. A title can take a long road from a casting notice to a cinema or a streaming app. Each stage depends on a string of decisions by producers, financiers, sales agents and buyers, and the people in this cast list now sit at the start of that chain.
