Concourse Media has boarded sales on "Strobe," a psychological thriller set in the underground electronic dance music scene, and will introduce the film to buyers at the American Film Market in Los Angeles, Variety reported on 5 November 2026.

A sales company is the firm that takes a finished film to the buyers who put it in cinemas and on streaming services. Boarding a film means it has agreed to handle those sales. The American Film Market is one of the film industry's main trading events, where sellers and buyers meet to strike deals, and it is held each year in Los Angeles.

The story follows a high school senior who becomes obsessed with tracking down a mysterious EDM artist. Taylor Cohen wrote and directed the film, which marks his first feature. Cohen has previously directed music videos for Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion and Conan Gray.

The cast includes Suzanna Son, Chace Crawford, Rohan Campbell, Laura Harrier, Mena Suvari and Grace Van Dien. Son is known for her roles in "Red Rocket" and "The Idol," Crawford for "The Boys," and Van Dien for "Stranger Things," according to Stereogum, which reported the casting in October 2024.

The film was produced by Tara Razavi of Happy Place, Nate Matteson and Hiro Murai through their company Super Frog. Happy Place also financed the film, alongside executive producer Clayton Moore. For Happy Place, it is the first feature it has financed. Happy Place first reported the casting on 8 October 2024.

Talent agency CAA is representing the film's domestic rights, meaning the rights to release it in the United States and Canada. Jack Sheehan, president of sales at Concourse Media, is leading the sales effort, according to Variety.

What makes this one worth watching is the route it took. A first-time feature from a director best known for music videos, with a financing company making its first feature investment, is a story about how independent films get made now. The American Film Market is where that kind of project gets its first real test with buyers, and the outcome will shape where and when audiences can see it.

No deals have been announced for "Strobe", and no release date has been set.
