Yellowjackets Heads Into Its Final Season, Premiering November 20

Showtime has released the trailer for Season 4 of Yellowjackets, the fourth and last season of the series. The new episodes premiere on November 20 on Paramount+ with Premium Plan, a paid subscription tier on the streaming service. Deadline reported the trailer on 5 November.
The story picks up after the team has been rescued. For three seasons, the 1990s soccer team was stranded in the Canadian wilderness. In this season, they return home to Wisayok, New Jersey.
The trailer is set to a haunting rendition of "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette. Anyone who remembers the 1990s hit will recognise the song, though the version in the trailer is a slower, eerier take on it.
The series was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. Returning cast members include Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Thatcher, Samantha Hanratty, Courtney Eaton, Liv Hewson, Warren Kole, Kevin Alves, Sarah Desjardins, Nia Sondaya, Jenna Burgess and Hilary Swank. The guest cast for the season includes June Squibb, Elijah Wood, Molly Ringwald, Devon Sawa, Sam Braun and Dulé Hill.
For viewers, the news is the date and the ending. Season 4 is the final run, so the story has a set end point. Those who want to watch from the first episode can find the earlier seasons on the same service.
Earlier trade coverage from October also focused on the rescue. Variety ran a piece on the season 4 trailer under the headline "The Team Returns Home," and The Hollywood Reporter published first-look photos centred on the teens' rescue.
